关于印发《消防系统有关单位、职衔英文规范译名》的通知

????各省、自治区、直辖市公安消防总队：
????随着改革开放的深入发展，我国消防部门与国外同行的交流不断增多，消防部门各单位、职衔的英文译名使用率越来越高。单位、职衔的译名在英语中属于专有名词范畴，其本身内涵具有确定性和严肃性。为了防止出现错误译名，或一个机构数个译名的混乱状况，我局在多次征求有关单位意见的基础上，对有关译名进行了规范统一。
????现将《消防系统有关单位、职衔英文规范译名》印发给你们，请在单位标识翻译、对外宣传交流工作中使用。如有疑问或建议，请及时与我局办公室联系。特此通知。

????注：1、关于“市”的译法。目前我国通行做法是将直辖市译为Municipality（全称MunicipalitydirectlyundertheCentralGovernment），地级市也译为Municipality，县级市译为City。为了避免直辖市和地级市都用Municipality引起的混淆，同时考虑到四个直辖市名气较大，翻译时不加Municipal做定语修饰一般不会引起误解，因此在翻译直辖市消防局时省略了Municipal。然而，直辖市公安局的传统译名中一直都有Municipal做修饰，本文对此未做改动，如果各直辖市消防局为了与公安局译名保持一致，也可在译名中加上Municipal做修饰。
????2、各地消防部门既有部队称谓(如XX省公安消防总队，中国人民武警警察部队XX省消防总队)，也有地方称谓(如XX省公安厅消防局)。为了便于沟通交流，建议在对外宣传交流中统一使用地方称谓，如建议使用FireDepartmentofXXProvince(XX省公安厅消防局)，不建议使用FireCorpsofXXProvince(XX省公安消防总队)；建议使用FireStation(消防站)，不建议使用FireSquadron(消防中队)等。
????3、四个国家级消防产品检测中心已分别有各自的英文译名，并且有的已注册使用。为工作方便，各检测中心可以继续沿用过去的译名，但是由于原有译名不是很统一和规范，建议今后有条件时尽量过渡到规范译名。
